The Abu Ghavir desert area, known as the Abu Ghavir Desert, is located in the southernmost part of Ilam Province, near the Khuzestan Provincial Border and Iraq. This area is located in the N3214 E4735 geographical location in the rural west of the same name. The area is covered with poor sandy vegetation, part of which is located in Iraq.

After crossing the agricultural plains of the Abbas plain, Dehloran Desert, there is a prairie near the village of Abu Ghavir, known as the Abu Ghavir Desert. Abu Ghavir Village is 10 km from Cham Hindi Village. The area’s wildlife cover consists of desert snakes, scorpions, Jacko’s and Agama’s, desert sarcophagus, prairie eagles, Jard؛-Pakswaki and more.

Unfortunately, all the villages on the outskirts of this desert region are under threat due to the lack of stabilization of the sand. It is recommended to use a local guide to visit this area because of its proximity to the zero point border.
