Derek Desert (Desert Derek) is located in the geographical location of E59 ۲۸ N25 ۲۹ and near a village of the same name in Sistan and Baluchistan province. Derek region is 2 km from Chabahar and 2 km from Chabahar Free Zone. The proximity to the coast of Oman, also known as Makran Beach, is a beautiful sandy beach. The proximity of sand and sea sand alongside palm trees in Iran is unique, so the area has been attracted by nature lovers in recent years due to its special attraction.

The area of this sandy area is 5 km from east to west and its average width is about 5 km. Flowing sands have been expanded as pyramidal hills with a generally north-south direction in the region. The hills are barely more than 3 meters high but in some areas they are taller and are classified in the circle of unstable short hills. The width of the sandy area increases from east to west, increasing to about 2 m in the eastern part and about 2 km in the eastern part. Flowing sand in this area can be seen eastward and scattered along this part of the Baluchistan coast and is not confined to the perception zone. On the west side, the sand flowing through the river cuts the sand and the area ends.
One of the landmarks in the Derek area, which is less visited due to the hardness of the route, is the seasonal crossing of the river between the sands and ultimately the formation of the river and sea deltas surrounded by flowing sands which has created exquisite scenery. The area is accessible via a dirt road from the village of Yazdar to the coast.

Within a few meters of the sea, all kinds of tropical trees have been planted, and with the digging of a second well, there is fresh and clear water that locals grow and harvest watermelons, maize, palm trees and more.

In the village of Derek many natives provide the villagers with daily houses, and camping on the sand is also very common near the beach. The security of the area is perfect for nightlife in nature, and there has been no report of insecurity in the area so far.
