Enamel Work is an art that has a history of about 5,000 years and is one of the most famous handicrafts in Iran. This art is a combination of fire and soil mixed with the art of painting and creates beautiful patterns of flowers and chickens. The predominant color of this art is azure, although it is also red and green. Nowadays this art is mostly done on copper, but it can also be done on gold and silver. Gold is the only metal that does not oxidize when the enamel melts, so it allows for a more detailed and similar design to the enamel, while copper and silver enamels do not have this quality. Isfahan is full of crafts and no wonder there are so many crafts in this beautiful city. Samples of pots are made in plates, pots, cups and other decorative objects, and artists in the Isfahan market are still creating these exotic works in the old part of the market.
