Light shoe is a summer type, lightweight, durable and suitable for long walks, especially for rural men, and is one of the handicrafts in areas of Iran such as Fars, Isfahan, Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari, Kermanshah and Zanjan. All stages of the production of this cover are handmade and generally made of rug, silk, and foam, fabric, leather or rubber. The wig is woven by women with a variety of needles (except sewing needles) and jalousie, and the bottom of the shoes is called cumin, which is made of cloth, leather or rubber. In recent years, local artists have been trying to bring this traditional art to the tastes of younger generations, and this has revived light shoe. Foreign tourists also buy these shoes, though they do not intend to buy shoes; they hang these unique works of art on the walls or shelves of their homes and fall into the remembrance of Iran’s rich culture.
